Counselling Individuals

How can counselling help me?

Counselling individuals, young people, children and families across Peterborough, Stamford, Bourne, Oakham, Oundle, Hitchin, Stevenage, Letchworth and BaldockYou are probably here because you are searching for something – clarity, change, improvement or understanding. You may be wondering if you are living the ‘right’ life or simply trying to survive the one you’ve fallen into.

Counselling can help you, and someone you care about, find what you are looking for. By identifying issues which are troubling you, with the expertise of the right counsellor, you will be guided through challenging obstacles, and be able to move on to a more comfortable place in life..

Counselling explores the causes of the troubled thoughts and behaviours you may experience. A skilled, experienced counsellor acts as a guide, helping you to reassess a specific life-changing or traumatic experience, or issues from your past that shape your feelings and behaviours today.

Taking the first step is the hardest.

But by identifying some of the issues which might be troubling you, you can begin to build a more secure, comfortable way of life. Some of the things I can help you to manage are:

  • Relationship breakdown
  • Gender issues
  • Childhood abuse
  • Life changes
  • Child behavioural difficulties
  • Family struggles

Counselling sessions can be on a one-to-one basis, or for families, couples, children or teenagers.

Group sessions are also available, providing support and guidance with specific focus of your choice, eg domestic violence. Telephone, email counselling and face time work are also offered.

Please feel free to contact me for a free, confidential introduction to the process of counselling individuals. You will be under no pressure to take your enquiry any further.
